About Sally Deo

I was born on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Where I spend most of my time climbing trees and eating everything with hot sauce. At the age of 11, I began, what I didn’t know then, was my passion for dance. I studied Bollywood Dancing for 6 years before moving with my parents and little sister to the U.S. at the age of 17.
I began studying Ballroom Dancing at the prestigious Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Northern Kentucky. Another 6 years later I started a family and moved to North Carolina. I have 2 boys, 17 and 13 years old.
I became a Zumba and High-Intensity Interval Trainer in Wilmington, NC where I currently live, where the mountains are a few hours’ drive and beaches are minutes away.
I love the outdoors and will look for any reason to go kayaking, hanging out at the beach, shopping locally, going to outdoor concerts, (it’s technically an outdoor activity) or simply sitting in my backyard doing anything “artsy”.
